Recipia ("we", "us") is a service for collecting receipts and keeping track of warranties for your household. This privacy notice explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.
Data controller
Maoyi AS is the data controller for personal data processed in Recipia. If you have questions about privacy, contact us at post@maoyi.no.
What data we collect
We process: account information (email address), content you add (photos/PDFs of receipts, vendor name, purchase date, price, category, warranty date, notes), household membership (who belongs to the same household and their role), and basic usage data needed for the service to work (login session, language preference).
Purpose of the processing
We use the data to deliver Recipia's core functionality: storing and showing your receipts, sharing them with your household, notifying you when a warranty is nearing expiry, and — if you choose to use it — letting an AI read receipt photos to pre-fill the form.
Legal basis
Processing is based on performance of the contract between you and us to provide the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Where you actively choose an additional feature, such as AI autofill or email notifications, the basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Sub-processors and third parties
We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service: Google Firebase (sign-in, database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending notification emails), and Anthropic (reads receipt photos when you actively use AI autofill). Some of these are located outside the EU/EEA (e.g. Anthropic, in the US); such transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism. Each has a data processing agreement with us and only receives the data needed to provide their service.
Storage and deletion
We store your data for as long as you have an active account. You can delete an individual receipt yourself once its warranty has expired, and you can ask us to delete your entire account and associated data by contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, as well as the right to data portability and to object to the processing. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe we are processing your data unlawfully.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to remember your language preference. We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising.
Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. We will notify you in the app of any material changes.
